Things Every Woman Should Consider
What does the future hold for you and your baby? You need to have a plan. Sunny Ridge provides
counseling services with professional counselors who help find answers and positive solutions to your important questions.

You deserve to talk privately with people you can trust. At Sunny Ridge we respect your confidentiality. You’re safe. Just call and ask to speak with one of our counselors.

You deserve quality medical care. A plan for prenatal medical care at a convenient location is developed for each woman on an individual basis. Sunny Ridge will help you make arrangements with your own physician, or with clinics, doctors, and hospitals that are known to us.

Some women find it necessary to leave their home and community for at least the latter part of their pregnancy. Sunny Ridge can help with living arrangements by providing you with either an independent living arrangement or a family who will lovingly accept an expectant mother into their home.

What will it all cost? Sunny Ridge counseling services are provided without any cost to all birthparents. When other sources are not available, pregnancy-related medical care is provided without cost to women who choose to place their child through Sunny Ridge for adoption.

All women deserve to know the differences between an agency & a private adoption. An agency such as Sunny Ridge is prepared to provide you with more types of assistance than a private adoption can, and we will continue to serve you after the placement of your child.

Are you a student? Sunny Ridge encourages women to have an education plan. Some school-aged women attend a community school. Others receive homebound instruction.

You will need ongoing support while you make a decision about your baby’s future, as well as after you’ve made the decision. That’s why Sunny Ridge offers monthly support group meetings. Facilitated by professional, experienced counselors, these are free to you.

Since you’ll be doing a lot of soul searching, you may wish to take special care of your soul. At Sunny Ridge we will respect your option to seek spiritual counseling and any other guidance available through leaders of your faith. This is a personal matter and the decision to pursue this type of counseling is entirely your choice.

Sunny Ridge places no restrictions on eligibility for these services. We provide services to pregnant women, to the baby’s father, and both of their families, regardless of age, marital status, social situation, religion or race.

You do have choices. And if you are considering placing your child for adoption, you are encouraged to participate in the selection of the adoptive parents by reading profiles and/or meeting the prospective adoptive parents. Some are on-line. You may choose the type of adoption that is right for you—from closed/traditional to completely open. Make an appointment by calling 800 BABY MOM, to talk with one of our counselors.
