Sunny Ridge Dedicates New Offices
On Thursday, December 13, 2007, Sunny Ridge Family Center officially dedicated its home offices with a special Dedication and Open House at 270 Remington Boulevard in Bolingbrook. Our Board of Directors Chairperson Joan Bowen welcomed those in attendance, and introduced President Gary Longman and Mayor Roger C. Claar of Bolingbrook, who offered remarks. Families and individuals served by Sunny Ridge, past and present, were on hand to help with our ribbon cutting. Special thanks to our new friends from the Village of Bolingbrook, as well as the Madrigal Singers of Bolingbrook High School, who provided a festive performance!

Sunny Ridge Celebrates at Gala Fundraiser!
Over 250 guests joined Sunny Ridge for a major fundraising event of the year—the annual Gala Fundraiser on Friday, November 16th. Many Sunny Ridge moms and dads as well as other friends and supporters, came out to celebrate adoption and enjoy a magnificent evening at the Oak Brook Hills Marriott Resort. Guests enjoyed the silent and live auction, dinner, dancing and musical entertainment. A warm Sunny Ridge thank you to our hard working Gala Committee, special guest Nancy Loo of FOX News Chicago, musician Louise Kelly, and all our Gala Fundraiser supporters!

Children from Lithuania In Need of A Family
Sunny Ridge would like to serve more children through an adoption program from Lithuania. Children of all ages but primarily above the ages of six, as well as children with special needs, are now available for adoption and in need of a loving home. Singles and married couples eligible. For more information on this new program, attend an International Adoption Information Meeting, held the last Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm. Sunny Ridge Picnic Fun!
The great tradition of the Sunny Ridge Picnic continued on Saturday, September 15th as we gathered at Argonne Park. Hundreds were on hand for a picnic lunch, games, and music provided by Spinnin' Wheel DJ. After the group photo, we welcomed Jesse White as he introduced the thrilling stunts of the Jesse White Tumblers. Thanks to Belgio's Catering, Vienna Beef, and Susan Stoga who helped provide for this special day. Sunny Ridge treasures this day when we can see so many of the families our mission has helped build through adoption. 

A Great Day At Our Golf Outing Benefit!
Over 100 golfers and supporters of Sunny Ridge gathered together on Thursday, June 7th for the Sunny Ridge Golf Outing Benefit at Cantigny in Wheaton. Golfers enjoyed lunch, 18 holes of golf, dinner, cocktails and a live auction hosted by Greg "The G Man" Dellinger of Radio Disney. Thanks to all our supporters who helped make this important day a success for our mission! See wrap up.

Fashion Show Fundraiser Fun!
The Sunny Ridge family gathered together on Saturday, April 14, 2007, for the annual Spring Fashion Show Benefit for Birth Parent Services. Special guest Susan Carlson from CBS 2 Chicago helped with our fashion show at the Abbington Banquets in Glen Ellyn, as the crowd enjoyed silent auction, great shopping, lunch, and a delightful fashion show. Special thanks to our volunteer committee and the many moms, daughters, sisters, grandmas, aunts and families— thanks for your wonderful support!

Chinese New Year Celebrates the Year of the Pig!
Over 1,000 people joined Sunny Ridge and the College of Du Page Asian Forum at the Chinese New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 17th. The wonderful day included hundreds of families who came together to celebrate the year of the Pig! Children were treated to an afternoon of crafts, games and prizes, entertainment, delicious food, courtesy of Panda Express. A big Sunny Ridge thank you to our friends at the College of Du Page, Panda Express, our volunteers, and a talented committee. Gung Hay Fat Choy!
